Saturday 17th February, we sampled the local delights of Kaikoura's seafood, including a large crayfish (with chips). We got up early on the sunday to make it to the boat for the Whale trip, armed with herbal anti-sickness tablets and wrist-bands. We arrived safely in Christchurch on the 18th January 2007. Its a very green pleasant place, with a feel not too disimilar to Cambridge! Sadly on the 19th we heard the news that Jen's Grandad Albert had passed away. He will be greatly missed. Arrived in Perth, greeted by Lisa at the airport. She took us back to their house in Darlington, which is just outside Perth near the Bush. They live in a beautiful house with a veranda going all the way round it, and a pool in the garden. They have a dog called Rufus, who is half dog, half sheep. Arrived in Sydney Airport, very tired but still managed a late night viewing of the Opera House, and fish and chips. Harbour Bridge and Opera House very impressive, even by night. Next day, had a walk in the Botanical Gardens, which has great harbour views too. Saw quite a few people getting married there.
