Had a nice relaxed day in Townsville today and it was absolutely baking outside!! I just went for a walk around the town and did intend to walk up Castle Hill, but it was too darn hot to go up a mini mountain for the view of the city and Magnetic Island!! Had a lovely time on the wildlife tour here, and finally saw an echidnea - yay! Been waiting all holiday to see one, and today was the day! Got mixed messages about the Fraser Island tour refund today. As I was checking out of the hostel, I told the lady at the reception desk about what had happened and she flat out said that I wouldn't get a refund for the trip. Not even a part refund. Oh, great. Ho hum, today was a let down again, booooooo!! Instead of swimming in Lake Wabby and Lake Birrabeen, we only got to swim in Lake Wabby.
