Thought that I would get up early today to go and see the rest of the museum and then go and have a look at the start of the carnival. That didn't happen as I really just wanted to have a lie in! It was a bit of a muggy night, so I don't think I slept too well. However, it did mean that the sun was shining today, so that was good. It rained, and rained, and rained today. All morning, and most of the afternoon. Boooooooooooo. So, my morning was spent having a long breakfast, doing some washing, and getting a little bit soggy going to the grocery store. I'd found an organic grocery store, which made me quite happy. Got up early-ish today as the German girls got in around 4:30 this morning, then got up at around 8 this morning and just made such a load of noise!! They had left all their stuff all over the place (shoes everywhere, clothes everywhere, stuff everywhere that I had to make room to put my bits and bobs down!!) so they just took an absolute age stuffing things back in their backpacks, doing their hair, and all that sort of thing. My last morning in Napier was lovely. The sun was out and there was blue sky all around, which was really nice. I got dropped off with all my baggage at the bus station, and so was able to wander around free of suitcase - yay! I thought I'd have a last look at the wonderful Art Deco architecture, go into the museum, and then have a last look at the sea here. The museum was really, really good. Had a lovely day in Napier today, mostly walking my little feet off!! Went up to Bluff Hill lookout in the morning after a really nice breakfast. Bit of a trek up a few hills, and I got a bit lost (signposts in NZ seem to be a bit strange, or perhaps it's just me?) so it did take me a little longer than it should have! The weather wasn't quite as nice as it could have been - a bit cloudy but at least it had cooled down so I wasn't sweating half my body weight ...
