Byron Bay - 19th - 21st September

We stayed at the Arts Factory - very alternative! Byron Bay was really chilled. The first day we got there, me, Si and Ang went round the shops and then hit the beach.

That night Si, me, Dan and Dave went out to the Buddah Bar where they had Cuckoo Pete and a fire show, we then followed onto Cheeky Monkeys. Ang didn't come out with us though. It was a good night and the following day was a lazy one spent recovering and wandering around the shops and lazing on the beach.

We enrolled on a surf lesson that next day. Si was really good at it but as you've probably guessed I hated it. I only hated it though because the currewnt was so storng you couldn't even wade into the water with the board. I kept getting wiped out by my board...and no thankfully i dont have any photos of it! It was a nightmare but will give it a go in calmer shores.

We We just had a couple of quiet drinks that night as we wanted to get up for 4.30am to go on a trip to cape byron to watch the sunrise and then leave on a bus at 10.30am for a 13hour bus journey finally to Sydney. We got up at 4.30am but soon realised we had got the wrong day so we rushed back to bed for a few more precious hours kip. We really like dByron and would've stayed longer if hadn't been so keen on getting to Sydney!
