We arrivedat the Cambodian border at 2pm (26 hours of continuous travelling since we left Samui) and we got on the bus in Cambodia which was so small with no air con and no room and there were also no roads for it to go on. They were bumpy potholed dirt tracks and it took us till 1am to reach Siem Reap- nightmare. The hotel was lovely though- great value for our #4.50 each a night. The nextday we had a lie in and walked around the town and did some shopping in the local markets. Surprised by them only wanting to use US dollars though after we had been told to change our money into Cambodian Reill. We did two seperate tours here. The first took us to see some temples from the 9th Century- Adam enjoyed it! The next day we went to see Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, and the temple where Tomb Raider was set. These were slightly better but was glad when it got cloudy so we went back to the hotel. Got a taxi back to the border of Thailand on Friday, which only took 3 hours compared to the buses 11 hours!!!!!!! We then got a taxi to Pattaya, another 4 hours away.
