Today has been a good day! I went to Cobar, a small mining town 1 hr flight away from Dubbo. I went on a tiny plane, and felt every bump in the wind! At the hospital, they gave me a car for the morning to have a look around Cobar - how great is that! First time driving an automatic hmmmm, that was scary! Anyway, went round the little town centre, had a coffee, cake (obviously!) Then went to the mining and Aboriginal museum. Then out for a spin in the bush! The afternoon was spent doing a surgical clinic at the hospital, which is mostly run by visiting doctors from Dubbo and Sydney as its so remote! Saw everything from hernias to vasectomies with the 'Jack of all trades' surgeon. Then a VERY bumpy flight back to Dubbo through the wind and rain!
