I saw an ostrich today during breakfast as I was looking out the window.Pretty cool, but ugly up close.We didn't end up visiting our friends in Pretoria…we'll do that on our way back through Jo'burg in August.The flight was only two hours.I'm so glad I won't be on an airplane for at least a few weeks.They never trusted my baggage.Security went through both of my suitcases between DC and Jo'burg and between Jo'burg and Windhoek.Crayons are apparently very hazard...

I know much more about what I'll be doing when I'm in Namibia now. During the day, I will be teaching at the Combretum Educational Trust School. One of their teachers (Peter Omura: also American) requested paternity leave for two weeks so I will be filling in for him teaching 8th - 11th grade math. This is not exactly the same as 8th - 11th grade math in America; the 11th grade is learning trigonometry currently. Also, many of the students do not go to school...

I'm still in America, I just wanted to blog about what I will be doing once I get to Africa!!! As of right now, I know that I will be staying and working in Windhoek during the week and traveling on the weekends. My job is not confirmed yet, but I will be teaching and working in an orphanage.
