After two years of covid confinement I am ready for another trip from my bucket list .Egypt !
I love ancient history and I am looking forward to exploring all that is mysterious and unknown in one of the oldest civilizations.
I am off on October 14th on my flight to Cairo .
A city of adventure,chaos and friendly people .The Egyptian people are masters of hospitality.
My stay was at the Marriott Mena hotel which is over a hundred years old and right in front of the pyramids.
No matter how much I have read and watched countless hours of videos I am not ready for the first glimpse of the great pyramids of Giza.
In the evening I took a sunset horse ride .Amazing views and the play of light and shadows on them is mesmerizing.
Nothing prepares you for the huge mindboggling
structures up close .When?How ?Why ?
The great Sphinx mighty and majestic sits as a guardian in the front it’s origin unknown .
Tomorrow I leave for the southern part of the country .More adventures to come !
