Hola amigos
So I made it Chile after the bus journey from HELL with the most pervy bus conductor slash hostess man in the world. I made it without having to deck him but I'm rather disturbed by the whole event!! Thankfully Santiago has made up for it!
I'm in a great hostel where the (Very large) beer costs 950 pesos (Just under a pound) and everything is really close by . It was a bit weird being on my own for the first time but so far i t's been OK (Not that I don't miss you Geez) met some cool people so far and had a great dinner pisco mojito evening with some friends of Sarah's (Thanks again). Unfortunately I thought a couple of the aforementioned big beers was a clever idea when we got back to the hostel...it wasn't and I had a VERY sore head the next day.
Anyway I recovered (Eggs and coke) and wandered around Santigo, the city is awesome as you look up past massive big buildings and skyscrapers there are mountains right there! Quite surreal but really nice.
I went to Valparaiso today, a port town, for a wander and got some great views of the harbour and local area. Lots of ascenosores (Like lifts or trains that go up really steep hills) leading to awesome viewpoints, luckily it was a clear day so the views were great. Didn't get to any beach, will save that for Fiji!
Apart from that I've just been relaxing, drinking copious amounts of tea and eating lots of chocolate chip cookies. Lovely.
Flying out to New Zealand tomorrow night (13 hours EEEK) so getting very excited about that. South America has been awesome but I'm looking forward to getting somewhere where my poor (Though slightly improved) Spanish won't be called upon!
Adios
