Hello All,
What would be a better way to conclude a 2 weeks + trip in NZ than trying to fly like a fat bird in Kiwi sky..??? So, there I went ...Sky Diving!! I thought that bungy jumping was a pretty awesome experience, but that s nothing compared to 55 seconds of freefall, and I don`t think there is enough superlative to describe it.
First the waiting game. The jump was originally planned for 10am in the morning, but because of strong wind, it has been postponed to 12pm, then 3pm and we finally jump at 7pm in the afternoon. A FULL DAY of up & down adrenaline rush (got value for my money...). When we ve received the go ahead at 7pm and started to gear up, this is when your stomack strats to buzz a bit more loadly and your heart start to beat a bit faster (well at least for me).. The place: the sky of Auckland. The plane: ridiculously tiny with 9 people packed in it. The jump: going up to 14,230 feet (to be precised) approx 5km high, getting out of the plane with a 55 seconds free fall at 220 KMH, with the parachute opening at 5,000 feet..... sorry but got to finish that later as need to catch a bus...:-)
Seb :-)
