Sorry we haven't dropped you a note for a while - Christmas was manic as normal. The boys have been TOTALLY spoilt and I didn't do too badly either!!!!

Planning a quiet New Year as usual - or rather an evening in as James tells me there isn't anything such as a quiet time with them around...

Sounds like you're having a great trip and definatly the right time of year to go, we've had snow and the usual chaos for a week, then roads like ice rinks and now just grey an dull.

It's been utterly crazy here, as always, leading up to Xmas - so my apologies for not mailing you earlier.

Judging by your pics and blog it's all going rather splendidly... Must say I like the sound of tubing and stopping off at the bars along the way :)... How was the VIP bus overnight? The 'laidback and relaxed' environment (with hammocks!) is certainly something I would've appreciated two weeks ago.

Still, I'm enjoying a week and a half off at the mo, so it's all calmed down for a bit. Mum mailed you earlier, she's been really keen to see your site and photos. My parents have been over today just to help out with putting in some 'noggings' (as Neil!). All has gone well, just a ton of tiling to continue with tomorrow :( Then some serious drinking to see in the new year. Going to be in London with Denise and friends - so it will be messy ;)

Will drop you a line again soon - any news on if you can call using Skype? Otherwise I'll see if I can get through to you with a 'casual' call on Neil's mobile. I'm hoping I might catch you on some ancient jungle trail to a lost city of gold - so I can get my claim in early! NICE!!

Hello Lovies!

So nice to talk to you the other day, good to hear your voice Jo. I miss my Lil'Sis!

Murphy is fine, still not asking to go out which is fine by me! He seems to utterly adore Con but then so do I! He likes to sleep on Con's chest and rest his paws on his chin. It does look funny! I'm hoping to take a LOL cat photo before he goes home.......

Weather is still poo with freezing rain but I'm staying indoors for a few days and doing a load of new work for college. Still very excited about the Elements Show.

Hope you are having a great time on your travels - what an adventure ! Visiting Mark today so that Rod can assist with preparing wall in bathroom ready for fixing of rad/towel rail - oh joy ! Then Mark can carry on with tiling which looks really great. Quiet xmas in Halstead with M, M & Rod's mum, however we had the caterers in both Christmas & Boxing Days. How lucky were we - it was absolutely lovely (strangely they looked remarkably like Mark & Matt !)

Cannot possibly compete with your travels but Rod & I are off to Gillingham, Dorset on New Year's Eve to spend some time with my brother & his wife.

It's Christmas Eve so HAPPY CHRISTMAS! I got your lovely postcard yesterday. The weather and power cut have been....... eeer challenging with Con snowed out! I'm really not keen on the super slippery ice......could do a hip at my age (!)

Murphy is fine, he asked to go out a couple of times but now seems happy to stay in the warm, sensible lad!

Glad to see the travels are going well. It's certainly bringing back memories for me. 4000 Islands - ah, wonderful times!

You've so chosen the right time to be away. It's cold here, the supermarkets are heaving and it's FREEZING!!
