Getting back in a big city was exciting and we had high hopes for the hostel over the weekend. We arrived about nine dumped our s*** an head out to munch. While we were in town we found a sick row of bars and clubs, buzzing Saturday night is sorted. We went back to the hostel to play pool and sup a few frosty ones.
Saturday morning we bounced around town soaking up the good weather hit a park which was average and generally enjoyed the day knowing a good night ahead awaited. We hadn't been to a Proper club since the Santa Cruz so it was well over due. On our way back from town we stopped off at the point a party hostel to see if we could pre drink in the bar. It turns out they were heading out to a party now which was 3 in the afternoon we were up for it but limited funds held us back! Captain Morgans was on special offer in the supermarket and being in Peru defiantly meant it was a special price. We got ready sank the rum, then hit the point the bar was dead but he didn't give a f*** as we new where to go anyway. We hit a bar before the club standardly took over the tunes and hit a club. The rest of the night is filled with typical drunken behaviour which is not big or cleaver but defiantly fun.
Sunday came my internal villa clock woke me up at ten to watch yet another dismal villa display. God knows why I got up for that as I felt as bad as the villas performance. I spent the rest of the day feeling really I'll and not being able to eat. The magical time of six arrived and I felt human again.
Monday morning, I was in a really good mood just because I didn't feel like s***. We went and visited the cathedral for some culture which was massive and gave us the opportunity to get some good snaps of town. We went back to the hostel watched some footie played ps3 for the first time in south America and for our s*** ready for the tour the next day!
Woke up at 7 which was all good because there would be hot water which I missed out on yesterday being a lazy f*** well not that lazy I got up at 9 anyway scrambled egg breakie smashed iPhone charged ready to roll.
The bus pulled up n it was all good a quick stop off for some shandies who can't deal with altitude to get some coco leaves, some terrible banter from an old guy from San Francisco about English people being left in the garden as a kid which I didn't get and the tour began. The tour guide was nice but she was boring talking about limas and the volcanos.
We spent the morning driving around the weather was overcast and to be honest it was boring, we stopped a few times to take photos of limas and volcanos covered in cloud. I was expecting more of a brutal trek, the amount of old people on the bus made it apparent this was not the case.
We had to pay 70 soles to enter a little town and this is where we found out everyone on the tour was getting a free buffet lunch expect for us thanks to the w***ers at the bamba experience who organised our trip. So we dipped off into the square to munch our Frankfurt sandwiches, tasty! One bite in and we soon realised Knate forgot to take the plastic off them, so we're not sitting in the square attempting to peel our gross sandwiches and it starts pissing down.
We head back to the buffet and find a little side room with champions league on which kept us occupied until it was time for the hot springs!
They sick three out door pools that were big and quiet deep and one indoor pool that was 39 degrees, we spent around an hour there, I had forgot my swimming shorts do had to bust in wearing boxers, I didn't care as it was a good opportunity to clean them! We hung around for about an hour it was so refreshing in there. We were proper poor so had bought some super noodles but there was no kitchen, I was starving so decided to have a go at soaking them in the sink needless to say this didn't work.
We meet the group for a night of traditional Peruvian dancing and dinner. We sat down got the menu and it was too expensive for us poor b******s so we chipped. We found an Irish bar and could just about afford burger n chips. We went back to watch the dancing and it was abit s*** with a 5 am wake up call we f***ed off back to the hostel.
We got up had a standard bread breakie and set off to the next small town. There were some women there holding cayman and lamas and school kids dancing which was weird and not what a came to see. We stopped off once more before the canyon. When we finally got there is was sick but our tour was boring we weren't allowed to trek down into the canyon so after a whole we got bored. We walked along the path but all the pictures looked the same. Back on the f***ing bus for a 5 hour drive home, oh we did stop for lunch but we couldn't afford it so we eat biscuits in the square. I try and keep my blog upbeat bit all in all the tour was s***, f*** you bamba!
We got back to the hostel with plenty of time to cook and get ready for a 10 hour overnight bus to nasca.
