Heading back to the Chateau the next morning we couldn't see the mountains for low cloud.Despite E arranging and negotiating for a room with a view of the golf course and Mount Ngauruhoe we weren't to see the mountain again.But we did have a few rounds of golf (found a good many balls while looking for one M lost and never found), a really nice meal in the rather posh restaurant, used their spa pool and sauna and generally had a very comfortable and relaxing stay.Of course, we haven't said that we extended our stay for one further night - because it was soooo good.Can't imagine that out of the five days we've had in this area we've had five games of golf on top of one day's absolutely magnificent and strenuous 20km walk - E's painkillers are fast running out!
