Today has been designated shopping day and sunset watching day. Both have been fabulous!
Shopping was extremely successful! America is a lot cheaper and I got some bargains...a rather lovely gingham bikini for $12 in the sale (so like £9) and some other bits and bobs. My major treat was a new pair of sunglasses that were a 2/3rds of what I would have paid for them in the uk! In a number of shops the staff were fascinated with our english accents. In one shop I had to ask for help working out what the different coins were, and the lady working there described be as 'cute' and if I ever need help again I should go back! I think the tan must be getting pretty good now, one lady in a shop asked if I was from florida (most f the population here are tanned!). But yes, overall an exciting shopping day.
This evening we headed to the local beach (armed with a mcdonalds drive thru) to watch the sunset. Mum, the view I has was a little better than our usual carpark view, it wasn't quite the same without you though! The sunset was sensational. The whole sky was a light with a variety of colours for the hour or so when it was heading down. I couldn't help but go and try out my new bikini with a cheeky paddle abs swim. It must have been one of the prettiest backdrops to a paddle I've ever had.
Tomorrow the plan is beach in the morning. It's impossible to stay all day I would be burnt to a crisp. I'm also beginning to get apprehensive about Tobago but I'm sure it'll be brilliant. I have now been out of Europe for 8 days, another 33 days and I'll be showing off my tan around Norwich!
