Hi everyone!! This is my final blog for about 6days as im heading off tomorrow morning on a trek to the mountains to stay with the Hill tribe people, i cant wait to go. Although they have forcast rain for up the top of the mountain, typical!!!
Well it has been amazing, i cant believe the things i have been doing. it fells like ive been her months, when its not even a week!
Ill write in a bit more details now. Well the flight to Bangkok was really good, after i had cheared up from leaving mum and bev at the airport. The people next to me on the plane were nice but didnt speak much english so i watched High school musical 2 lol'; great start to the trip!!!
My hotel in bangkok was lovely but noisy!! didnt bother me to much though. the first day i just had a very painful thai massge (only cost about 2.50). Then had a wonder round Khoe san road ( back packer area), got lost loadz. its a great place so muc shopping, and there is people sellign food everywhere.
The next day i went on my own to the Grand palace. And had my first ride in a tuk tuk (3 wheeled open sided kinda bike/car!?!), what an experience! he tried making me go into a jewelery store and but things so he could get petrol. I refused; he chucked me out!! it was fun though. That night i met all the people from my tour group. they are all lovely; some of the most intelligent and interesting people i have met. i do feel very thick com[ared to them sometimes though! But i like them all and everyone gets on really well. That night me, Glenn, Heather and Carmelle, fromthe group went to a bar called 'Suzies bar'. Is was so funny. First there was a thai rock band, which was interesting!!!! then thge played english hip hop; it was like being back at pussycats lol. LOads of ladyboys in there, its so weird seeing them.
the next day we went on the longtail boat down the canal, that was relal good to see al the people living directly ont he riverside, they are so poor but still so happy! The we went to Wat poe temple, lovely, but i have seen loadz of temples alreay, they are everywhere they just randomly pop up everywhere!! In the evening we went for a meal then went and boarding the overnight train!! Offically the best train ever. The seats turned out to make beds. and they had a party carrage!!! i was drinkin beer; yes beer not wine lol!! it was so funny dancing with the lady boys and some other people form oz and england. We were dancing to macarana and vengaboys with the railway police that were carrying guns but were all drunk; bit worrying but it was good fun!! Didnt really sleep much on the train; was having too muc fun. took 15 hours to get to Chang mai on the train.
its alot more westernised here. first things we saw were macdonalds and burger king!! an hour after we got here we went elephant riding. i think that it could well be the best experience of my life! we had a really badly behaved one that ept throwing water and dirt at us! its incredible how big they are but how well trained they are by the people who look after them. after that we went on a bamboo raft down the river. then over a waterfall; of course i was the only one that fell in and got soaked! it was really good. We then went for a meal and went to the night market, you can buy such nice things so cheaply! After that me and glenn went to a bar, only realising 30 mis after that it was a lady boy bar. good fun and lots of cocktails!!
today i went cycling for 4 hours around chang mai, which was scary but great because we had to ride around the main moterways and i had forgotton how to ride a bike. Just been for a great massge now gotta head back to the hotel i think before getting ready to go to the hill tribes tomrrow. will probably end up at another bar tonight though lol
missing you all and i hope your all ok.
take care and party hard.
love ya
