Most every restaurant from budget to mid range and up has its menu displayed in plastic in the front window. Much to the relief and gratitude of non-Japanese speaking travellers trying to order something off a non-English menu. So, of course, restaurants have to buy this gear somewhere. (Who knew a plastic bowl of ramen could run you upwards of $100!)
