Hey! Just a quick note from Hong Kong! Currently in airport waiting for my flight to AUSTRALIA!!!! Cant wait!

Had a fun time in Hong Kong - landed late on 15th and headed straight for hostel, but made contact with a family member. On 16th in the monring I walked around a little, went to a park and avenue of the stars!
Then at 2pm I met family Kevan and Amy, who were amazing and I cant thank them enough! They took me around Hong Kong and showed me so many sites and explained the history of the island to me! It was so interesting and beautiful, I have many pics I will put up once im in Oz.
I was then taken out for dinner at night for Chinese food, was so good. We had soup that was cooked in a melon with seafood and bits in and soem beef and chicken and I tried some traditional deserts - didnt get back to hostel until 10:30pm!
On 17th, this monring I woke early and headed to Hong Kong central, where I could check my bag in and get boarding pass for flight that night!! What a genius idea. SO I was free of big bag and I knew it was safe as it was checked in for flight!
I then headed to Lantau to see the giant buddha which you see in the picture! WAs so beautiful but teh steps up was pretty mental!

After that I headed back to Hong Kong Central, where I met Amy and we went for lunch! MOre lovely chinese food, AMy ordered and we had Dim Sum. We had seafood and sharks fins Dim Sum..also tried a dumpling with pork in and one which was shaped like a penguin..it had seafood in lol I then had another mango desert yum yum! I then walked around teh shops and Amy helped me to bargain for a bag!
We then parted ways around 6pm and I went to the ladies market and the to a place called temple market where I had a little walk around..and now im at airport!

Hong Kong was amazing...I suggest you all come! lol
Anyway best go - going to read for a bit..flight boards in an hour and a half...next time you hear from me I will be in my new home (well for the next 9 months!)!!
