Flying into Bangkok was crazy, as we flew over Thailand we were able to see the areas that had been affected by the recent flooding. It made most of what we flew over look like water logged fields, instead of people's houses and streets. Bangkok airport was very nice and clean, also well organised. Or at least it felt that way after coming from India.
We had to wait ages until our flight to Koh Samui. When 8pm arrived we went to board our plane. Our plane looked mad, it was tiny, it carried about 60 people if that and had some crazy looking propellers, like the ones on old school planes. It still flew alright. As we flew to Koh Samui the moon was out and it was a deep red-ish orange colour, it looked amazing. In the distance we could see a thunder storm. Each flash of lightening would light up a section of the sky. It was a little nerve racking as our tiny plane wouldn't stand a chance, but we seemed to be flying in the other direction, so that was alright.
