Ok so i havnt updated the blog much recently, we havnt done too much apart from working and just everyday life here in Bondi.
Past few weekedns the weather has been crazy! 3 weeks ago the weather was ridicuolously hot it was above 40 i think it was 43 if i remember correctly. lets just say i melted. we decided to go to a nearby beach along the coastal walk called Clovelly Beach where we snorkelled. this was my first time snorkelling. I was abit of a wimp at first looking at all the little and not so little fishies. The fish were really interesting, some were huge; I wasn't expecting the size of them. They were all nestled in their little homes beneath the rocks. As the temperature was soaring as the hours got closer to mid day we stayed in the water to avoid the crazy heat. We started to head back the few KM walk which we can normally do easily but the heat was so intense that we stopped about 4 times and I felt like I was going to be sick it was that unbearable...only a cold shower could sort me out! That night we went to the Cuz's and we all decided the best way to deal with the heat was to have a few (quite allot) of beer and wine and I think it worked ha-ha!! The next day the heat was just as unbearable so we headed to the cinema to avoid the heat and for the first time in months I was cold and I LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!
During the week we have got into our little routine now and working and just living here in Bondi. We have discovered a lovely bar/cafe around the corner called Katipo which serves the most amazing food and good tea which is very strange for Oz as they are experts in coffee! On the one rainy weekend that we have had since being in Bondi we have discovered some hidden gems, like on a Saturday Bondi beach is the place to go for freebies, Bondi markets are full of treasures on a Sunday and we found the bestest shop ever. It's called Gertrude and Alice and it is a second hand book shop that is also a lovely yummy cafe. I think we must have spent a fair few hours there on the rainy Sunday afternoon..............perfect lazy day. Oh and they also sell good cake and tea too so even more happy :) :) We (well I should say I) have also delved into Aussie TV (which isn't the best); I am obsessed with a TV show called the biggest loser. Poor Stu has to watch it 4 nights a week and I think he has gotten into it too now wooohooo!!
This weekend we did some exploring. We went camping with the Cuz and family to a place called Lane Cove which I think is north of North Sydney. And again the weather decided to go crazy again and be super duper hot and we melted...again! We headed out with the kiddes and a car packed with our 3 bedroom tent and took camping to a whole new level. Instead of a traditional BBQ the executive decision was to get pizza and I must say it was yummy. We survived the heat by dunking ourselves in the pool and again drinking a few beers. As the stars came out we were so lucky to see a blue tongued lizard, parakeets and a possum which I was told was extremely friendly....hmmm really??
So all in all we have had a few busy weekends and a few relaxing weeknights after work. I am just personally hoping the weather makes up its mind, tonight for example is in the mid 20s and I am soooooo happy I will be able to sleep!! I hope the temperature stays here and doesn't go back to crazy 40s not that I am moaning.
Right I am in work super early tomorrow so I am off to bed even though its only just after 9 pm. Toodle pip for now x x

Janet Sounds like you are really getting into the Aussie way of life going to bed at 9pm. They will think you are a local soon!
