Day 5
The day started early with breakfast at 7am and in the cab by 8:15am. We headed to Munich Central Train Station and got on the train to Venice, Italy.
The trip took us through the Alps in both Austria and Italy. The scenery was amazing. Although it has only just gone into Autumn, we still managed to spot some snow on top of the Apls.
We had a quick change of train in Verona which is in Northern Italy, and arrived in Venice by 5pm. We caught a water taxi to our accommodation, and after a short wait, were shown to our Airbnb. This is an 800 year old 3 bedroom villa.
After quickly settling into our rooms, we set off on foot for St Marks Square. Walking for around half an hour we saw the Grand Canal, many shops and the Rialto Bridge. We found St Marks and took some photos. Donna found a resturant that we had been to on our last trip here so we all had traditional Italian meals here.
After dinner, we slowly made our way back to the villa and after a couple of reds we went to bed.

Neil Thanks for the update - great to keep track of what you are doing
Steve G'day Dad, The first went about 130kph but was a lot slower through the Alps. The second train clocked out at about 160kph.
