Well when we arrived in Hanoi we were pretty tired after our very long journey- we went to our guest house got showered and went for food with all the guys that we had met on the bus. The food was pretty nice and we even treated ourselves to some much needed desert- which was amazing. After food we had to go and put our clothes into laundry as our bags got soaked from being on top of the bus and that meant that all our clothes were drenched- not good.
The next morning we had a lie in which was great and then we went to find the Qantas office so that I could try and change my flight home- i now have a seat reserved but not paid for- so we shall see.
After the Quanta's detour we went to the prison museum which cost us about 20p to go in and got a free map. It was pretty small and not all that interesting but glad we went.
After that we got a cyclo (a seat on the front of the bike) to a travel agent. The cyclo was interesting as Hanoi is very very busy on the road with lots and lots and lots of motorbikes- so it wasn't the safest feeling ever. We then went to lots of different travel agents to try and book a trip to Halong Bay (2 days 1 night on the boat) we speant ages looking and eventually found somewhere that we were happy as she spoke really good English nad it was an good price and seemed reliable.
After an exhausting few hours looking through all the travel agents we had something to eat at a nice vergetarian place and then we went back to the hotel and relaxed watching some english speaking TV which was nice.
