Germany Jump Point
The flight for Ramstein, Germany took off at half past 12am and I was thrilled to get a seat...well three of them actually! Not only did the seven and a half hour flight to Europe only cost me $16.10, but I got an entire ROW to myself and I lifted the armrests and slept the entire way! We landed at 8am Eastern Standard Time, but it was already 2 in the afternoon in Germany. A quick check of my passport and I was off. Just outside the terminal is a new building where I quickly got a hotel room for $39 and a quad band phone and international SIM card before hitting up the Macaroni Grill for a pasta milano dinner. It was wonderful to walk a few miles around base in the afternoon sun. What a very clean place to live. No trash on the sides of the street and fancy crosswalks and sidewalks everywhere you could want to wander. After visiting the travel office and doing some research I've decided to take the Eurail to Paris tomorrow and stay a few days to see the sights. Here's my list so far. Feel free to leave me other suggestions.
Notre-Dame
Eiffel Tower
Louvre
Champs-Elysees
Arc de Triomphe
It should be a great chance to take some pictrures and play with the camera before heading further south. My laundry is hang drying, I've figured out my new phone and hatched a plan for tomorrow. Time to say goodnight.

Stacey Damiani Wow! Sounds great so far... when you get to Paris get a Metro pass for the day (or three day) its a lot easier to get to see everything and go back and forth... Don't fall prey to all the pan-handler at everyone of those stops in Paris!! But you know that!!! LOL!! I can just picture you walking the streets of Paris! (Od course I mean that in a good way...LOL). Oh take a tour on the boat, river... You get great pictures from that angle.. if its not to pricey.... :0) and the Eiffel tour lights up at night on the hour every hour.. so cool!!! Wish I was there!!!
Jessica Taylor Mmmm make sure to eat a crepe with Nutella from a street vendor! And buy some perfume and ship it home. Perfume was way cheaper there than here when I was there 12 years ago.
