And here we go! I think I've managed to post a picture and a map showing where it was taken. Am on a roll! Thank you to Prue for recommending this site/app for blogging. It seems to be fairly idiot-proof. Hope I don't end up undermining that statement in the near future!
OK so here I am in a cafe in Sanur, Bali, sipping green tea in the hope it will cancel out the burger I had earlier.
I'm about 3 weeks into my 6-ish month "career break". I enjoy using that term. It makes it sound a lot more serious and grown up.
I'm not sure what the blog is going to look like yet. I need to get my photos onto my iPad and I need to select some of the stream-of-consciousness text I've written and put it all together and see if you like it. I'll try to have a comments box so you can let me know, and I'll post it on Facebook too.
It's been a pretty exciting trip so far...
30 October - I left my London flat, with all my stuff in storage, and flew to Makassar via Abu Dhabi and Singapore. In a state of shock and exhaustion, if the truth be told.
1 - 15 November - expedition from Bira to Sorong with Wicked Diving and a rather fabulous collection of individuals who made it even more fun than I was hoping for
17 -22 November - diving in Raja Ampat
23 November - now - Sanur, Bali
I'll pick out some highlights from the above and then try and do regular posts to let you know what I'm up to!
Thanks for stopping by :-)
