23:00 - We left Santiago this morning for Pucon. We flew first to Temuco and then drove through Villarica to Pucon. We got there rather late at about 3.30pm and Toby hadn't been able to keep in touch with the rafting people to see if they were going to do a 5pm start, so I had to let the rafting go... I had told him on the first day at the briefing, so I was rather disappointed and opted to go to the hot springs with 4 of the others. I also had some difficulty finding a laundry as they were all overworked and would not do my clothes in time for my thursday departure. I had a bit of 'a moment' and was fuming for a half hour, but it all worked out. The springs were nice and we lay in our (and other people's) filth for 45 minutes before coming back to the hotel. As I got back I ran into Toby who took me to be measured for boots and equipment for tomorrow's climb of the vulcano. On the way I managed to find a laundry and sorted my dirty washing out finally! By the time I got back it was time to go for dinner. The place was nice enough but it took an hour and a half to get a plate of food! A tiny bit slow!!! On the way back I got the last few bits for lunch on the climb tomorrow and finally went back to my room. Sunitta that I hadn't seen since we got here was getting ready to go to bed but she did insist in telling me about her day and wanted to know in depth how much I had spent organising my trip. All of this as I was putting together my stuff for tomorrow morning (I have to meet for the climb at 6.45). She's avoided another dinner with the group...she winges about JLA and what they charge, she doesn't dine with the group...my question is: why didn't she go on her own???? I know that eating together is not an obligation, buf it is odd that she hasn't made a single dinner or made any effort to learn the names of the people she's with!
Oh well, better rest...long day tomorrow unless the climb gets called off for bad weather (I am now sort of hoping it is :-) ). Villarica here I come!!!!!
