The Wicklow Way, Ireland May 30, 2011 Me beside the upper lake as we walked toward the miners village (ruined houses). It looked as if they mined quartz there was so much of it. A Newzealander was giving a guided tour to a mix of nationalities and we were keen to avoid getting drawn into it. There was a small memorial at this point to a young girl who has been in the water and got into difficulties and had drowned. The Wicklow Way, Ireland May 30, 2011 On Derrybawn mountain where we could see the boardwalk in the distance and the views of Glenmalure and Luggnaquilla mountain to the south. This view is north from where we had come, looking towards Larragh.
