Yassas! Well we've made yet another plan change, Instead of going to Igoumenitsa we've just found we can get an overnight ferry from patras to Corfu, so this aves time, a hotel and stress so we dive straight on & roll into bed absolutely knackered. Lorraine has Marks 'Flu and is laid low. Ferry docks at Corfu at 7am. Lorraine feels too unwell to cart her backpack around Corfu town so we check the luggage and take a lookaround. After a chat with an Irish-Corfunian and then a Canadian-Corfunian , both say that the once notorious resort of Benitses has been totally ceared of Brit package tours and the big hotels have gone & its now a quiet-ish fishing village and probably the best escape to to unwind & let lorraine recover a bit (We found when Mark had this bug we kept pushing on & it made it mich worse!) We had a look around Corfu town which is a very nice place then took the most overcrowded bus you've ever seen to Benitses. We decided to eat & do a bit of networking and our Taverna host Spiros made a few calls and turned up a lovely room in the old village. Its Easter here so rooms are really scarce but taking time to chat with locals always brings results! So were here for four days enjoying Easter and will try to get over to the Mainland to visit Meteora and then onto Paxi for a finale to our tour. I've got blisters on my paws and i'm a little weary but have a really great time with M & L, they really look after me! They might be getting on a touch but they know how to enjoy themselves!
