Bula!
We had such a great time in Fiji. Flight was fine, though they made us watch Beverley Hills Chihuahua which was painfully bad. But we touched down in Nadi and made it to our hostel. Very nice, swimming pool, big screen tv showing 6 Nations and air con! Ventured into Nadi town, wished we hadn't. Not a pretty place, and it felt very poor. We got dragged into a shop to have a kava ceremony before having to buy souvenirs just to leave. Were happy to get back to the hostel!

The next day we left to go to our island - Mana, an hour away from the main island. Beautiful place, very chilled hostel, though very basic. Cold showers, sand as the floor in the bar but very friendly hosts. They sang and danced for us (I loved the music!), organised games evenings and helped us make coconut jewellery. During the day we lay on the beach, snorkelled and swam, walked around the island. Saw where they filmed Survivor! Castaway was filmed very close, and Tom Hanks apparently stayed on Mana whilst fliming! Unfortunately the rain came down on our second evening and didn't really stop, but we really enjoyed the chilling out inside! 3 buffet meals a day were included so plenty of rice, noodles, meat and fruit was consumed!

Will try load photos soon to make you all sick with jealousy - it was like being shipwrecked with fun and games! As for now we've arrived in LA and plan to explore it fully tomorrow after a good night's sleep!
