As of yet havn't done much here, had a little look around Cathedral Square, lots of buskers about, bought a couple of souvenirs but thats it..tomorrow we are going to the International Antarctic Centre!should be good, then off to Kaikoura to hopefully spot some Whales then back to Picton, then Wellington... then Fiji!:) Have a look at youtube-matts put some new videos up, the haka and glacier!

Edoras! We drove out of the way and climbed for 90 minutes to reach the top of Edoras where King Theodens hall was filmed! The whole set has been taken down and there is nothing to show that it was built there but when we put pictures up it isn't hard to see where Edoras was! We walked through rivers and mud to reach it and climbed it at the steepest point, not good seeing as I had my flip flops on due to bad blisters :( but it was worth it!!!:) "War-m...

Drove all day and arrived at Timaru, didn't see much here just stopped off and went to sleep in the car, seeing as our tent broke the other day!!!:(

Onward and upward as they say! We arrived at Queenstown and went straight to Deer Park Heights...a prime spot for Lord of the Rings locations! Had to pay $20 because its on private land and all around there are "tame" animals, mostly goats and llamas, but the occasional tibetan yak and bison! So we bought $2 worth of animal feed but went straight on to find the LOTR locations!firstly was were the Warg riders kill Hama as the people of Rohan flee to Helm...

Well we booked a guide tour of the Franz Josef Glacier! So woke up bright and early to get to the departure office at 9.15am, got all kitted up in walking boots with spikes, jackets, hats, gloves, socks etc! Got to the public access part and had to trek for about 2.5kms to the actual glacier, our guide split everyone into 4 groups, we had a choice of going in group 1 which was the hardcore team who sped ahead, or down to group 4 who take it easy!...so matt ofcour...
