Ross, meant to tell you that the best scenery is in the South Island, so make sure you spend a lot of time exploring the whole of the South Island. The North Island is very interesting too but not a patch on the South. Try to get up to the Marlborough Sounds in the north of the South Island. You can take a mail boat trip around the beautiful islands - it is a totally different world.

Well you are in NZ now. Make sure you travel around the west coast of the South Island. It is absolutely amazing. If you can do the Milford track. It is hard work but well worth it. Try to get to see NZ's lake district in Otago - inland between Christchurch and Dunedin. It is probably too late to tell you about Stewart Island. If you get a chance, go see it - you will love it.

Thanks for your e-mail Ross. So pleased you did the Great Ocean Road. It is fantastic....the scenery is magnificent and the sea is superb. We are in mid summer now haha! it has been raining most of the day and is quite cold. I suppose it is the same out there only you call it winter!!

Hi Ross - just caught up on photos and blogs but am struggling with what the Neighbours appeal was!! I don't think I'll be getting out to Melbourne now until September, but rest assured I'll not be heading to ramsey street!! Have fun on the great ocean road.
