We spent 4 amazing days here, the island was gorgeous. With palm trees, lovely beach and coral surounding the island. We stayed in traditional huts beside the beach and did very little in the strong sun. Although we did manage to go kayaking to the island closest to us, went on a village walk and Ross went fishing whilst Nina learnt how to weave. the people that ran the island all lived localy and there were only 20 or 30 people on the island at one time. ...

These two towns are the third and second most populated towns in Fiji. When we arrive din Fiji we flew in to Nadi and spent the night there. The next morning we had a look around the town which has an amazing Hindu temple that has been built by the large indian population that lives in Fiji. Queenstown is famous for its sking and bungee jumping, however we decide against both of these and stuck to a few walks in the local area which has some stunning views and landscape. It was well worth driving to as it is a really friendly and fun town. Most people there though are tourists or backpackers. Would love to come back for the sking as it is meant to be really good. Will have to get some lessons so we can see more of this beautiful part of New Zeal...

We caught the ferry from Wellingotn to Picton and picked up a different hire car for the south island. We drove west to spend the night in a little town called Nelson. After Rotoura we drove south to Wellington via Napier. Napier was completely flattend by an earthquake in 1933 and was rebuilt in the art deco style of the era. Its a bit weird but was nice to take a walk around. We picked up a hitchhiker along the way as well which was an interesting experience.
