The Ropes Down Unda
Had a long weekend at the end of January as the Australians Celebrate Australia Day. Decided to escape the City for the weekend and went camping, yes that's right camping !!. Drove 3 hours South to a place called Bendalong. It rained solidly for 3 days which was quite amusing, kept ourselves entertained with a case of Toohey's Extra Dry (very fine beer). Having indullged ourselves in the amber nectar we frightened ourselves half to death by nearly falling off the edge of a cliff as we sneaked behind the bushes to relieve ourselves.
We also visited a place called Pebbly Beach which has great surf and wild Kangaroos that go down to the beach and splash around in the water. Also visited Jervis Bay - it's classified as ACT (Australian Capital Territory) but it's surrounded by places that are part of New South Wales. Apparently even though it's nowhere near Canberra (which is the the Capital of ACT and Australia), they decided that the Captial of Oz siutated miles fromt he coast needed a port, hence designated Jervis Bay part of the ACT Region - wierd I know!
Are planning another camping trip but hopefully will get better Weather. Will send another update soon
Lots of Love
