We awoke spritely and not any bit seedy. Good start to a new year. Today was a 4 hour or so ride to Port Lincoln where we've booked Air B & B to house our meagre possessions in while we head out to dive with sharks (in a cage of course) from Port Lincoln.

From Adelaide to Mount Remarkable - and a new year. Today we stopped by Jacobs Creek (was full so we didn't have lunch here) & Lehmanns winery before heading to a small SA town at the base of Mount Remarkable. Some stunning scenery along the way - from rolling countryside hills to the posh wine region and then to some rural Australian outback. We ended up in a SA town called Melrose - celebrating the last day of the year at the Mount Remarkable pub - its wher...

And to say one last g'day for the year to Uncle Warren and Aunty Barb! From Kangaroo island to Adelaide - a less bumpy boat ride back and a bit of holiday traffic in between. We have noticed that Adelaide is very fastidious on installing speed cameras - in multiple locations - also rear facing. We also noticed a lot of Adelaide drivers stick almost dead on to the speed limit. So did we - when we realised how many cameras there are and some aren't easy to spot whe...

The best night sleep Ros and Pol had - Gav sleeps like a sloth - requires long hours so we assume he also had a good night. Waking up to the lagoon was stunning. Reasonably start today - we managed to visit the bee farm, eucalyptus farm and ride all the way to the other side of the island to visit Admirals Arch - a NZ fur seal breeding part of town. Boy did it stink at Admirals! Pol was Photo crazy - Ros loved watching seals, especially the young pups. Gav manage...

...and the most expensive ferry crossing! We had a 1pm ferry departure but thought it may have been cancelled after the bad weather (in which the power went out in Adelaide - the place of the most expensive elec bills and bad power). Luckily it wasn't - however Pol panicked as she saw the time on the bike was getting close to 1230pm (which was the last arrival time for vehicles before boarding) and flawed it.
