First camping stop for Pol and about the 6th for Ros and Gav - Jervis Bay, NSW. Not much to report on today - mainly Pol lapping up the scenery on the back, Gav leading the way with the Garmin. We stopped at Jervis Bay, as we didn't manage to make it to Batemans Bay (which was the plan as Gav needs to transfer his BM into his name). Not to worry. Flexible is our middle names. Jervis Bay looked great on a google search so off we went. It turned out to be a near disaster as most camping sites were fully booked, and the one we chose was a long way away from our camping gear! Oh the misery. But.... Caves Beach was a fantastic location - nice beach and the campsite marsupials and bird life were friendly. Plus Gav had his first experience with Roos! Another but... Ros and Pol awoke to strange noises in the night. Ros was the braver one and stuck her head out of the tent to be greeted within nose distance with a curious and hungry roo. Pol hasn't seen Ros get back into the tent so fast! Slowly we managed to look out and saw a few Roos... scratching themselves. That's all they did. We quickly put our food in our tent. And also Pol went to the toilet blocks at night only to encounter a scared possum and the possum encountered a scared Pol. A stare off began briefly before the Possum vanished.
