We came back from Brazil as you know, Phil has been incontact with the Brazilian girl he met over there. He is going back in a few weeks to see her. He has not been able to get in contact with anyone due to no internet and poor phone signals. He will be touch with all his friends when he arrives in Oz on the 17th January. xxxxxxxx

Hey, Just hoping you got to Fiji OK and the troubles there are not causing you a problem. We had a crazy weekend here (left the house Friday morning and got back Sunday kind of deal!), would have been better if you were here though. You are missed by all here. Well Bobby, as a famous philosopher once said "It has been emotional". What a month, I don't need to say anything about that, we know what we experienced together and you have the journal to remind you when you mind slips into life on a beach in some distant land. I will say, the friends I had here and the many more we have made together will miss you. More than that I will miss your company, life here won't quite be the same without you. I hope the rest of your adventure is as fun-filled at the first leg and you continue to meet some great people. Eyes wide open. Lastly, you know that if you ever want to come back to our 'home town' there is shelter here in NYC (I have an aerobed!!!) and my boss has offered to sort you out with a job if you ever want to work again!!!
