This my first entry into my travel blog, the pictures of kathmandu are up for you all to see.

The trip from manchester to kathmandu was a long one however i made it more comfortable by using four seats on the plane as a bed, as the flight was quiet

My initial thoughts of kathmandu are well undescribable, its a bustling city built in beutiful surroundings, however it is a very large slum.

The nepalese people are a great bunch, they are very cheery and have a great sense of humour (which they need to live in such a unorthodox city).

My first night of travelling was hmmm interesting i stayed in the kathmandu guest house, which is the oldest building in thamel (the area of kathmandu city). Originally a palace its a beutiful building. The room on the other hand is well something else entirley i walked in to find cockroaches in the bathroom and wooden slats for a matress. All part of the fun i suppose. Ive managed to visit most of the main attractions waround here with the group i am trecking to everest base camp with. There a great combination of people from all around the world. We fly out to Lukla airport tommorrow which should be fun.
