Saturday 18th September We began our walking tour of Shanghai at 9am this involved walking through the Peoples Square, the French quarter and an antiques market which was fab as it gave us a chance to try bartering. In the afternoon we returned to the hotel to get ready for the Shanghai acrobat show - which was amazing! you will see from one of the photo's five motorists racing round a large steel cage which was very exciting :) We then went to a pizza resturant...

Thursday 16th September Hi again guys, we went to the Olympic stadium today which was fab! we went inside and took some good snaps. We also took some snaps of the Beijing IBM building just for you Dad :) In the afternoon we went to the open food market which was scary...every bug you could think of was alive on a skewer waiting to be fried! pretty grim! and as for the smell ..wasn't very pleasant. We then got ready and made our way to the train station to board...

We met our group on Monday 13th September.....all very nice. There are 15 of us in total!! Our leader is called Leon who speaks very good english! Tuesday 14th September We met our group at 8am and headed off on a private bus to see the great wall of china.....oh my god it was very steep and tiring but well worth the walk. After finishing our hike we took the toboggan ride down to the bottom which was great fun. In the afternoon we went to see the Kungfu show ...

Saturday 11th After a tearful goodbye we finally boarded the big emirates airbus to Dubai. The sevice and the food on the plane was great and there was even free alcohol to robs delight :) we were not too sure about our fellow passengers though for example we had an arab lady with a tash bigger than Pete Crompton's lol and her elderly husband was bald and had a ginger beard!. We had a few hours wait at Dubai before boarding another seven hour flight to Beijing ...
