Hi Carla! Just looking at your site and very impressed! Elaine and I are in Rio at the moment and bloody LOVING IT!!!!! Off up to Christ the redeemer later to have my photo taken with my arms outstretched like total twat-tourist. Have a look at our site (traveltales) and check yourself out with the tarot cards (how funny). Loved Bolivia as well, but bloody freezing wasn´t it? Have fun, Tara xxxxxxx

Did the death road again yesterday, with si and rosie. Apparently I am the only person to do it twice with El Solario. It is a fantastic buzz. Yesterday I was lucky on a few occassions, as i was totally wreckless. But hey thats the male bravado for you. Leaving la paz today for cococabana on the border of Peru. Meant to be beautiful.
Will let you know how I get on with getting into Peru as there a few problems there at the minute.
Feeling great and having a fab time folks.
Adios

Glad you got down the mountain safe and well mate.
You say you had frostbite - does this mean that you lost any of your extremities? A couple of fingers maybe? A little toe? I'll wager that your prize-winning hooter was chilled to within an inch of it's life. It's a good job that there's a good couple of inches there, hey mate.......

Hi all. Just an update that i am about to fly out from Singapore to Jakarta in an hour. Have just seen off my girlfriend of 3 months, Rin, to Bangkok. I am alone again (Rob, Carla i know how you must have felt in February) and it sucks for now but the show must go on. Have changed all my flight dates also. One month Indonesia, 9 days in Oz, 2months in NZ, 3 days Hawaii and 5 weeks in Canada. Gonna be climbing volcanic peaks next week, can't wait. Bye

Alright Rob, just wanted to let you know that you've gone and beat me to the Death Road - me and Mup were looking at a charity trip there next year. I imagine it was even better than the photos show? Will hopefully catch up with you in Madrid...
Take it easy, and hi to Carla also.

Just to let everyone know that I surrived mountain biking down the worlds most dangerous road. It was ace, I flew like a bird. The guides lewt you go as fast as you wanted, and tried to keep up with me and 2 Swedes. They thought that we were pro bikers lol (just nut cases with no respect for our safety). Anyway I am going to do it again with Si and Rosie next Sunday. But in the meantime I have booked my climb up Illumani which will be on wed 29th June so If I dont make it back I love my family and it has been great knowing you all. I dont know what to expect but all tour operators dont rec this cilmb as it is very very difficult. Not long ago people died up there, but what the feck. Death or Glory.
Adios for now

Hello folks
Just to let you know that i am in La Paz and what a city it is. I played glf yesterday at the highest golf course in the world, played s***e but i put that down to the beer, altitude, and lack of practice. I am just in the process of planning a 6500 mtr climb up a mountain behind la paz, and booking a bike ride down the most dangerous road in the world. What a life hey. Right will let you know how i did with some death or glory situations.
