Arrived in Nha Trang after another long overnight journey from Hoi An. First impressions were that we wished we had stayed in Hoi An longer. Nha Trang is nice enough, very cosmopolitan, but a bit too resort like. The beach is fronted by a huge paved promenade (not the beach paradise we were expecting). However, happy hour in the sailing club made up for it (30 pence for a gin & tonic!) and gorgeous seafood. Happy hour was also the reason for stopping in Mui Ne even though it was not planned (we were too hungover to carry on the bus to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)). Mui Ne was great - beautiful beach and we stayed in a bungalow right on it. It was nice to chill for a couple of days with no hassle from beach vendors. The only negative was that we were eaten alive by sand flies which have swelled up (possibly a reaction to malaria tablets) so we are covered in huge bites which itch like crazy.
