Mancs on Tour
Well this was a last minute stop as I wanted to get another stamp in the old passport. I did not have a clue to what to expect in the capitol of Uruguay, however I knew that there was some banta to be found, and plenty of drinking..
The first day was all about getting to know the city and par take in some sight seeing. I was very impressed with how the city felt. I t did not feel like it was another south america capitol. The main square was fantastic with amazing buildings surrounding a huge monument.
After seeing all there was to see we set about having some fun. Which we did with full honors. Apart from watching the scousers win europe me and Si found the Cuban revolusionist movement and a gay all men chior from the usa. It was a night of banta and threats (not by us brits but between the cubanists and the sceptics) lol.
When we were watching the football we had in mind that a bus journey of 40 hours lay ahead, and Si wanted to fly, but I was not spending cash on a flight just to watch Liverpool play. So at half time when they were 3 nil down I made a bet. If Liverpool won we would fly and si would take me out on the lash for free, and if not we would get the 40 hour bus journey from hell and i would take him out. Suffice to say we flew and I got pissed for free.
All in all I loved the place and would go back there for sure, great people and a great feeling about the place.
