Hi folks I have been in Bolivia only 5 days and already i know this is my favourite country so far. I arrived here after taking a 4WD trip across the desert and saltflats on the Altiplano (an altitude of 3500-5000 metres). The landscape was completely other wordly and hallucinagenic, like nothing i have seen. The first city i visited was Potosi whcih was amazing. Colourful colonial buildings and real traditional Bolivian culture. I visted the silver mines there which was an experience in itself. I am now in Sucre which has to be one of the most beautiful cities i have vistited. You could almost be in Italy with all the beautiful buildings. I am completely suprised by Bolivia. I expected nothing like this but i blody love it!! Tomorrow i leave for Santa Cruz to visit Vallegrande where Che Guevara last stood which will be emotional for me. Hope all is well back home Carla xx
