Arrived in Delhi 10.30 in the morning, warm but misty. We were met by the hotel driver at the airport, making life a bit easier although the airport was not as bad as we had read about. The journey from the airport to the hotel was an adventure. There appears to be no rules to driving here, they don't give way and are constantly blowing their horns at each other, the one who blows the horn first seems to have right of way. After checking in we were taken on a tour of the sights of Delhi by one of the hotel drivers. We went to the red fort, India gate, Ghandi's tomb, president's palace, Government buildings, Hindu temple and the mosque.
Tasted our first authentic Indian food, It was good, tasted very similar to Indian food back home which shows how good the curry's are in England.

Had coffee on the roof of the hotel this morning and was joined by a monkey! Even the staff seemed to be surprised and interested by him so I don't think this is a regular thing.Took our life in our hands this afternoon and had a rickshaw to the Delhi National Museum. Museum very good, but the rickshaw home in the rush hour traffic was very scary (but cheap).
We move on to Agra in the morning and although we wouldn't have missed coming to Delhi we both agree that we will be glad to leave the hustle and bustle behind.
