Hi again! Today ive come into Peru. It was a kind of spur of the moment thing as i was on the bus from San Pedro de Atakama to northern Chile and ended up carrying on into Peru and onto another bus to Arequipa. So in all it took around 20 hours since i started last night. It was a long journey through the Atakama desert(the most arrid desert in the world!) Peru seems cool so far. Its defintely feels different to Chile or Argentina. The people seem very friendly and speak very food english. The buses are a bit older but gets you where you want to go. Im in Arequipa now which is really nice! Its full of old colonial architecture! Me and a canadian guy i met at the border are booked on a 3 day trek of the Colca Canyon tommorrow. It looks great-its supposed to be twice as deep as the Grand Canyon!! Will be back in Arequipa for a day or two before ill head up to Cusco to do my Macchu Picchu trek on the 5th Dec!
