Bula Everybody!! Im back off my desert island now and im fully recharged and ready to get the rucksack on again in New Zealand. I was staying on the island of Nananu I-Rai,just north of the main island Viti Levu. It was paradise! I spent my nine days just sunbathing, snorkelling and exploring the island.The coarl reef was amazing and if you went out only a few meters you would see loads of great fish and coulourful coral. The Lodge was very basic and i was staying in a dormitory with about 12 people and hundreds of mosquitos and flying cockroaches! about a 20min walk from the main baywas a huge deserted beach which i went to often and had it all to myself to sit on the beach and swim in the clear blue water! The island even had wild horses which would come down to the beaches and run right by us. I had a great time there but i was getting very lazy doing nothing all day so its good to be back on the mainland. Yesterdayi went into Nadi town and went to a live rugby match- Fiji national team v New Zealand. It was cool to watch even though it was constantly pouring with rain. Until last night i was a Cava virgin,but now im a life long member of the Cavaholics. Cava is a local fijian drink made from the root of a plant.It tastes like muddy water and it leaves a numb sensation on the tongue. Its really good stuff. So we spent the night listening to the band play fijian songs , drinking cava and we even got involved in the dancing! Im off to New Zealand in 2 days and i cant wait! Im especially looking forward to my Skydive!! I will getthe dvd so you can all see me in action! Anyway hope everyone is good and ill be back on here soon! Rich
