I landed at Vienna international airport and went straight through customs verz quickly as you do when you have a British passport. I caught the bus into town for 6 Euro which dropped me right next to my backpackers.
I was staying in the westend lodge which was ok and basic. Not much of a social area or activites but verz central which enabled me to explore everything i needed to.
The first day I arrived I juststrolled around the city centre taking in the sights and sounds of the capital. As I always tend to do I like to sample the local food so I asked the guy at the backpakcers where the best place to go was and he recomended the centimeter restaurant. I headed that way in serch of a schnitlze to fill me up. When my schnitlzy arrived there was 2 big schniztles on a big bed of french fries which was more than enough to eat. The food in centimeter was excelletn it was really intersting to see what other people were having some people had a feast where alod of schnitlye and other food would come out on a medival sword and some people would order a salad which came out in an old baking tray which looked really good. If I would suggest eating somewhere i would say there, it is also a good place to have a beer as well. After dinner I bumped into an elnglish cinema and went to watch the new james bond film which I had not seen yet.
The next day I headed towards all of the tousity sites such as the museams, gallerys and castle. I set off at 7am after still being ahead in time from coming back from working in Africa. I first headed to the sommer palace which was ok but not that special I felt. I then headed into the christmas markets which were always nice and then towards the museams and gallerys. I did not go into any as I am not a lover of art but the buldings them selves were really intersting.
