Auckland to Tairua.
If you like forests than New Zealand will deliver. Much of the country is still forest "as it was" with vast wilderness areas. Due east from Auckland is the Coromandel Peninsula. The centre of the Peninsula is still unpolluted and pristine/ The Coromandel State Forest stretches almost the entire length of the Peninsula. If you just want to relax , laze around and do some fishing this is the place to be. The place is scattered with sleepy towns like Tairua.
