We decided to take a day off from National parks today. Tried to sleep in but hot and sweaty in the van. Got ready and got our bikinis on. Today was the day of Zion National Park. This place is really similar to Yosemite except it has had too many iron tablets.  The rocks all have a tinge of red instead of the white of Yosemite. So much beauty!!! First walk was the emerald pools. Up and at it again. This time we drove to Bryce Canyon National Park. When we got there it was threatening to rain and had a 50% of lightening which would mean we couldn't walk. After using the convenience of Walmart Bridgette and I went to an all you can eat Pizza Hut. Not as good as home. No chips and all the pizza were practically just cheese. Got on the road heading south. Left Wyoming and entered Utah. The scenery has changed drastically. Today we started a bit earlier. Went to Madison meadows in yellowstone.  Cute little area of the park that had an outdoor amphitheater. Today is memorial day in America.  Went past 2 guys in uniform having a photo under the flag. Big day for the nation. Drove from yellowstone to grand teton national park.
