Just a short update on Kunming as there's really not that much to see from a tourist point of view. Arrived at my hostel called the Hump which instantly reminded me of a Walkabout pub back in London.

Staying in Kunming is a bit like being a student without the Ready, Steady, Cook and Countdown on TV. I'm just hanging around near at the hostel or walking round town. I actually went to the cinema yesterday afternoon to see Iron Man, I might order a snakebite and black and try and find a curry house tonight for the full student experience.

Everyone just seems to do the same thing and it's very laid back round here. Anyway I have had loads of tips about Dali, Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La so it's been useful in that sense. I've even been told where I can watch the Champions League final this week, although it will be at 3am.

Everyone I've spoken to seems to have done the same trail so it's good to get there spin on everything. I'll be heading off to Dali tomorrow by bus so will hopefully have a more interesting blog from there on in.
