Its its that mid-festive time, when you realise you have spent up, eaten too much, drank more than too much and the cold is starting to get a bit annoying. We have had an awesome Christmas in Krabi, spending Christmas Eve sunset snorkelling ion the coral reefs with Nemo fish, and having a sunset barbeque watching THOUSANDS of bats leave there caves to help sant eat all the mice pies and brandy, in the dark we swam in phosphoresecnt plankton that lights up as you move to make a sort of oceany disco.
Christmas day got even better with the arrival of Lou, Leslie and Mike and after a sneaky morning Baileys (well it was Christmas) a beach barbeque and sending fire lanterns floating into the sky saw us celebrating in style.
Boxing Day....erm....well, its not really important, its only another day and sometimes you need to sleep all day (nothing to do with our festive barbeque and drinks at all...)!!! (to be fair that was just me and not Em)
Yesterday we went on a "high quality" tour of Phi Phi, landing on the beach in Maya Bay from that film about a beach, which im sure Mr DeCaprio would have not liked if he had arrived now given the hundreds of tourists and at leat 30 boats. That said more snorkelling was great fun, and many beaches, swims and speed boat rides later we got back to Krabi suntanned and happy. Today we climbed, tomorrow we leave.
Its been so great having friends spend Christmas with us and made us feel much less far away, our South East Asia adventure is soon coming to an end, and we are over a thrid of the way into our trip! But there will be more stories of Full Moon Parties for New Year and of monkeys, rainforests and bugs before we leave this part of the world for Australia. Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year!
Love Rich and Em x
