hope things are going well. Spoke to Dad last night and he says you are somewhere new and have managed to get a job etc, so that all sounds good.

Things are not quite so bright here, I have managed to get a blood infection and a hip infection, which means I am walking around on crutches at the moment and am condemned to bed for the next week or so. My hip has got lots of liquid in it, so I have to keep going to the doctor who sucks it all out with a 15cm long needle (nice!!). I am on drugs, so its is just a case of seeing how long it takes to sort its self out. - and the worst thing is that this all happens 1 week before the start of Oktoberfest - bloody typical! But on the bright side 24 Season 2 was on offer in the DVD shop, so that should keep me entertained for a couple of days!!

What is entertaining is that I can't get hold of Mum, so she might read about this here first!!!!!!!!

Anyway, K is well and says hello.

Sorry its been a while but I have been settling into the US of A!! I had my 1st day at school yesterday which went ok! I have a lovely apartment and the people are all lovely too. I have been very careful not to pick up a ridiculous accent so far but we'll see. The place I am living is really central and it has a roof terrace (although its very windy. They are not wrong when they call this place the windy city!!) It also has a gym which I have still got to get to. Its only been 2 and a half weeks. I am going to a jazzercise class tonight so my lack of coordination and dance skills should give the locals a laugh at least. Anyway Chicago is good but I have been a little homesick!! Arhh poor me! Your travels sound good I will take some time later to read your journals fully as I just skimmed them as I have to go back and teach now. Hope everything is good. I will write again soon.

Hi love, just had alook at the new photos they look great, you certainly look as though you are enjoying yoruself. We had a good weekend at center parcs, it is very nice but i really don't know what every one raves about, the accomodation was lovely,we had our own hot tub outside so you can imagine us all sat in there under the stars drinking something sparkling, real good fun.
well love it is off to look at another property will keep you updated about our progress

Hi love, now to start your parcel arrived here safe I have sorted and delivered as requested. Pleased that you continue to have a good time, can't wait to see more photos. Sorry we keep missing each other, I am back now for a few weeks, everthing is sorted gran will be going home in a couple of weeks, so we have got everything crossed that she will be fine. We have sold the bungalow, but there is nothing about at the moment so we are stuck until they get a rush of people trying to sell again, the agent says it does pick up in Sept, so i am ever hopeful. We are both fine and life goes on much the same as ever.
