Bidding a fond farewell to Swift Current I haed back onto Trans Canada 1 until "Construction ahead Detour". Sounds simple the Highway is only over the grass verge I can see it but no the detour skirts the town so some 15minutes later I am on the correct side of the road but still on the service road. Say this looks just like, yes the detour has put us back on the service road that construction ahead blocks the entrance to TC1. Guess someone had a late night so yes 15mins later I arrive almost back at the same point. However I duck into a service station and exit the other side on TC1 after the detour ahead sign and off at 110km Eastward bound.
The fields of canola are bright yellow contrasting with the green of sorghum & alfa alfa. The trucks and tourists dominate the traffic flow the same as yesterday.
Moose Jaw provides a convenient refueling and morning tea stop again at Husky gaining more Husky Reward points.
then a left turn and over to the tourist information centre and a quick twist of the throttle and the tourists make way for the Indian to park next to the town name sign. The town name Indian Head !
Without a head in life how can the Indian be a living breathing machine and be making its way to Spirit Lake Iowa, from where it began life.
Downtown Indian Head has a local bakery , always busy, but offering locally source products at a reasonable price in a timely manner of delivery, today I have a turkey & salad on wheat bread.
Deciding I have spare time I start to walk the short narrow street stopping to photograph the Indian parked, however a lady makes her way towards me. "You own the Indian?""Yes"her,"sorry my car is in the way I will shift it for you.' Before I can say its not necessary she jumps into the drivers seat and moves it across the street then returns and says,"my Grand Daddy used to ride an Indian, his photo is still on our sideboard."Ï love it never seen one in real life"
I ride around town to photograph some of the iconic silo complexes that have and still provide storage for the grain grown in the area and exported around the world.

Laura Interesting place names along the way, eg: Moose Jaw and Indian Head. Good to be meeting interesting and interested people. A little surprised you haven't meet up other Indian MC riders...probably an unfounded assumption there would be a lot of Indians MC on the road in the USA... obviously not.. photos of Farm show it as productive and extensive...great photos.
Christopher I thought would be lots of Indian motorcycles but alas they are rare
